Congratulations on your new camera! This site is one of the best I have found for digital photography in general, especially for Canon users. If you have any specific questions, feel free to post them, and you should get some informative replies.

DPReview is highly recommended.

Notice I said "one of the best", not "the best".

I loved my Nikon D1X but the 1Ds is clearly superior in several ways so I just made the change.
These are remarkaably complicated cameras and all the information I can get will let me squeeze the last drop of quality out of it.
For the Nikon D1X there were several excellent websites, books and magazines dedicated to just the D1 camera line. There were two people who were key guides in writing books and holding courses (Thom Hogan and Moose Peterson).
My question for all of you experienced Canon DSLR shooters is:
1. Best websites for Pro Canon users (besides this one)
2. Any useful books or magazines for advanced users?
3. Who are the people that stand out as educators for the 1D series of cameras?
Thanks for your help! I look forward to participationg in this forum.

I'm not going to touch that 'best' word....
You might want to spend some time reading on the Canon SLR forum at DPReview (http://www.dpreveiw.com). I would suspect that there are several hundred comments posted by now. (Also check Phil's review and follow his links to other digital sites.)

While dpreview has quite a bit of good information, the signal-to-noise ratio tends to be pretty poor, IMO.
I find good information on:
Fred Miranda's site (http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/)
and
Rob Galbraith's site (http://www.robgalbraith.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php).
You might also take a look at EOS Magazine (http://www.eos-magazine.com/).
Enjoy!
