Title: Waterfall, Waimea Canyon
Post by: jasonrandolph on May 28, 2009, 01:40:36 am
Here's another shot from Kaua'i.  The waterfall is deliberately small in the shot, as I was going for a capture of the surroundings as well.  Does this one work?  I think it captures the atmosphere I was going for, but that waterfall is mighty small...

It looks surreal at first glance, but given the previous commentary, I understand what's going on. So whether it works depends on how and where you want to display it, or whether it would lend itself to changes.  If I were making a change, the first thing would be to take out some of the greenish projection near the center, filling in from the background, and then it would have a less surreal look, if that were the desired result.

Jason, It's a fine shot. Again, you got the light right. It's the play of the light that makes the picture. Don't mess with it.
