Title: 5D MkII Flashpoint vertical grip
Post by: calindustries on May 06, 2009, 01:14:43 pm
Has anyone tried the Flashpoint vertical grip for the 5D MkII?  I saw it listed on adorama's site and it's only $90.  What gives???

thanks,
craig

I went to the Adorama using your url and in one place it says 5D and in another place it says 5D mark II. I wonder what it really is as the 5D and 5D mark II have different battery configurations.

Looking at the images, it has an "af-ON" button... isn't this unique to the MkII compared to old 5D ? I know my MkII has one for the live view - but it has been a while since I last held a 5D in my hands to remember whether this button exsisted on the old one... It's not conclusive evidence - I know, but may suggest it is indeed for the MkII ?

I've had one of these for a couple days. If not for the label on the bottom, you'd never know it wasn't a Canon. Seems to work just fine. It is different than the one for the 5D. The best way to make sure you're ordering the right model is to choose it from the 5DII page.
