Title: does digital exposure similar to film ???
Post by: on May 11, 2005, 08:00:10 am
The short and simple answer is – yes.

The more detailed answer is, it depends.

Digital is somewhat like shooting transparencies. You don't want to overexpose the highlights.

Digital is not very suitable for long exposures (beyond about 30 seconds to one minutes. I does not suffer from reciprocity failure, the way film does, but it gets noisy. It depends on the camera though, some are better at this than others.
