Title: 7880 with ImagePrint on Canvas
Post by: davisf8 on April 05, 2009, 09:14:25 am
Anyone out there using the Epson 7880 or 9880 with Matte Black ink printing to Breathing Color's Chromata White Canvas or any matte fine art papers?

I am currently using the 4880 with Photo Black and ImagePrint and getting great results on LexJet e Satin photo paper.

I have an HP Z3100 and have been printing to the Chromata White canvas and Hanhemuhle Photo Rag Bright White 310 with mixed results. Usually I am not completely satisfied with the results from images with a lot of dark colors (low key portraits). Pastel images or medium key images are usually more pleasing than the darker images. It appears simply to be a lack of d-max on the darker images.

Just wondering if ImagePrint with their profiles will increase the dynamic range on the darker images. Can anyone answer this question?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
