I know this is not really an issue for this forum, but I have been all over the web looking for information and am now totally confused. I respect the knowledge of the people who use LL, and hope that I can get some clarification.
I have re-found 3 old (>35 years) 16mm reels of short experimental films for which I composed the musical soundtracks, and would like to transfer them to video. I also would like to be able to edit them with a computer later on. What is the best method, and what should I avoid in terms of the myriad of film-to-digital businesses out there, each of which puts down the processes of the others?
I want the least compressed, highest quality transfers I can get.
