Title: SB 800 with Canon G 10

Noob here,  

I have a Nikon D-300 and the SB-800 flash.  

I am considering buying a Canon G 10.  

I would like to know if the SB 800 is compatible with the G 10 or do I need yet another flash.

The flash should work fine on manual power settings - but you won't get the ittl / ettl benefits (as far as I understand it at least)...somebody chime in if they have experienced the opposite!
