Title: Printer log with iPf5100 or 6100 / Epson 4880 or 7880
Post by: Sami Kulju on March 10, 2009, 08:58:17 am
Hi!

I´m currently using trusty Epson 4000  but looking for a new very soon.

With 4000  in our network I can look for log remotely (saved in printer) and see the last prints/ink used/printer id etc.

I´ve searched for info about logs of Canon iPf5100 and also Epson 4880 but haven´t been succesfull.

Does Canon save a log in the printer and is there a network tool that I can use to see the log? What about the new Epson?

Thanks in advance!

Sami

I'm running a 9100 and it has a log function accessed throught the status monitor. I think the 5100 also does.

I've attached a log for you to review.

Yes, the Canon 5100/6100 have a job log.

It's accessable via a printer built-in webserver or via the status tool installed on your computer. It doesn't keep track of every print ever made during it's lifetime, it only shows the last 20 or so jobs (including ink usage).
