One of many shots taken on a storm chase the idea was to get some lightning shots.

Some minor post process work in Lightroom
Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Exposure: 10
Aperture: f/22.0
Focal Length: 21 mm
Exposure: 0.00
ISO Speed: 100

I like the composition and the colour contrast with the warm toned colours associated of the land piercing through the mass of cool-toned colours of the storm, sky and sea.
The image however appears out of focus or otherwise fuzzy, particularly noticeable along the city buildings in the distance. Was this hand-held (1/10 sec) or tripod (1/10 or 10 sec - your exposure time is not 100% clear to me). The buildings should be sharp as they shouldn't be moving.
Also, I think that cropping the photo at the right to remove that one isolated apartment building would improve it.

It was tripod mounted a remote trigger was used. it was a 10 sec exposure but with a storm coming it was a little windy. this I believe affected the fine detail. I will try your idea on the left side crop and post the results..
