Title: Sinar arTec Video
Post by: thsinar on February 10, 2009, 12:18:19 am
FYI: a video taken by one of our customers, Nicolas Claris in Bordeaux France, showing the arTec camera and its features.

Is Luminous Landscape becoming the Sinar ArTec marketing platform?

Thanks, Thierry.
The "unboxing" video is informative.
Now I have a better idea of the arTec's relative size.

By the way, page header of video incorrectly spelled as arTed

I beg your pardon?

Did I somehow, somewhere offer this camera for sale (definition of marketing), in some way?

It is purely information, for those interested, as much as any other brand's thread. Those who are not interested can simply skip it.

Best regards,
Thierry

I am sure that Hasselblad, Leaf, Mamiya, Phase One are all welcome to share information about their new products aswell as long as it's not an outright advertisement.

And this was information, which is useful for those who want it, and can be ignored by those who don't want it.

In the end, for me personally, i'd rather have representatives of the different manifacturers and resellers to communicate directly here on the forum about this than never hearing anything and just being frustrated. At least this time we can PM bomb them

Thanks Billy, well noted, I have forwarded it to Nicolas and he has corrected it already.

Thierry

Thierry, I think you do a great job of providing useful, unbiased accurate info. Surely that's one of the functions of this site? I hope you don't let the occasional rude person spoil your day. Best wishes.

Thanks Stewart, and thanks Billy and Imaginara, for understanding and taking this as what it was meant, an information.

I shall continue to inform the way I have always done it.

Best regards,
Thierry

I appreciate their presence,
and have made use of having access to all the manufacture reps.

In all my exchanges with Thierry, public & private, heated & friendly,
I have never felt an ounce of sales pressure (usual behavior of Swiss).
Instead, it's about "precisions", clarifying and correcting inaccuracies
& misinformation.

This is a totally uncalled for comment. All manufacturers are welcome here to discuss their products.

Billy,

I appreciate especially the "precisions"!

I should know by now that "accuracy" is a far better word to use for correct English, thanks to you.

Thierry next time you want to post such link and to prevent this kind of comment send a PM to the one of your choice for him to post it.

Then you'll be trouble free. It shouldn't be that way but... what can I tell you.

On a personal point of view it hurts to see such a slick system when you can't afford it.

So yes do not post anymore such thing!

Thanks for posting the film. Is it possible to mount a Hasselblad CF39 on this camera?

Dear Bob,

In addition to the Hy6 mount, the Sinar arTec can be used with Hasselblad V mounts: this particular adapter is in preparation and scheduled in the 1st quarter '09.

Best regards,
Thierry
