With the addition of a new drive I'm reorganizing my storage. I'm looking for a Windows program that can compare for duplicates on different drives. The one I have looked at so far aren't satisfactory. Any recommendations?
Cheers,
Dave

Although slow (it runs under java), this is full featured. As a plus it will compare files byte by byte as opposed to only file names.

i had a similar problem. i used visipics,it has a nice interface and not only finds files with the same name/size but it can identify identical pics based on the content. it shows you suspected duplicates

On the PC I use Directory Opus as a replacement for Windows Explorer and one of the very long list of features is a compare folders (http://nudel.dopus.com/opus9/page5.html#finddupefinder) facility.
It's well worth buying for the amount of time it saves, ever though it's 'expensive' compared to other Explorer or Finder replacements. Something that took two clicks and 5 minutes took many, many hours to do in Finder, so DOpus saves a fortune in billable time.
I find using a Mac, painfully slow at times due to not having a Mac version of DOpus. Pathfinder is sadly nowhere near as good.

There's
Araxis (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/araxisfindduplicatefiles.html)
Tidy Up (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/17908)
Singular (http://macamour.com/blog/2007/06/15/easily-find-duplicate-files-on-your-mac/)
Never had cause to use one yet, so cannot comment on how good they are.
