Post by: aaykay on January 21, 2009, 04:50:42 pm
Seems like there are some new Sony lenses on the way, in time for PMA 09:

Full-frame lenses:

24mm f/1.4ZA (Zeiss design)
200mm f/4 SSM Macro (Zeiss design)
600mm f/4 G SSM (Sony design - by former Minolta and current Sony designers)
24-105 f/4 G SSM (Sony design - by former Minolta and current Sony designers)

The DT/APS-C lenses include:

18-55 Kit lens (Sony/Minolta design)
10-24 (rebranded Tamron)
18-270 (rebranded Tamron)

The only thing I have been seeing is this photo floating around on some of the forums lately:

This is just someones random posting, not a serious rumor, it's circled the internet a few times now.

While some of the lenses are real and known to be in the works   10-24DT (a tamron rebadge believed), 24-105G (been known for over 2 years now, but slow in coming out, much like the 24-70 and 70-400 were long known, and finally came)

It's been covered in other forums how some of these make no sense like the 18-270.

Someone by the looks of it just took random bits of info that has been out there for a while and just combined it into this.  Some of these lenses will come someday, but not connected with this "source"
