Title: Pearl duo? Does it exist
Post by: Winokur on January 21, 2009, 01:01:43 pm
I have been using Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Duo as a portfolio paper for years. Well they discontinued the 196g weight which really messed me up and now I see much better papers for reproducing blacks and wider gamma are becoming available. So I'm ready to try something new. What I can't seem to find is a double sided paper with a Pearl or Baryta surface that uses photo black. Can anyone make a suggestion?

Thanks,

Michael

I'm not aware of any papers of this type that are double-sided, makes me think there some sort of technical limitation.

None available that I am aware of either.. I dont think its a limitation but rather a problem that they cant even keep up with the current deman on the single sided material yet.. Once there is enough users wanting it  my guess is that it will show up.. Duo papers are a very slow mover for a manufacture ..Thats just my guess..
