Title: Photoshop CS4: My plug-in won't show up!
Post by: JDClements on December 21, 2008, 05:13:25 pm
I tried installing a plug-in. The install program put it here:

c:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\

The publisher said to put it here:

c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\   ...which doesn't exist, but I tried here:
c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4 (64 Bit)\Plug-ins\

...among other places. I can't get it to appear. I even tried creating a separate folder outside the plug-ins folder, and pointing the "Additional Plug-Ins Folder" to that location, but no luck.

This should be simple. Am I missing something here?

BTW, the plug-in in question in Redfield Fractalius.

Yeah, you're running Ps in 64 bit and the plug-in is a 32 bit version–which ain't gonna work...

Crapper-doodles! I thought I mentioned to them it was 64-bit, but looking back I see now that I only said Vista 64-bit. Well, thanks for saving me further frustration with this.
