I've been using the DNG converter to handle my Canon G10 files, converting to DNG before importing to lightroom. I rather like this workflow since I can geotag the files before importing as well.
However, I just upgraded to a new machine running 64-bit Vista, and the DNG converter will not install with an error about the incorrect windows version related to 64 vs 32 bit. Google has not helped me find a 64-bit version. Any ideas? I don't have Photoshop CS4 so ACR is no help for me unless I'm missing something.

The best place to ask this: Adobe DNG forum (http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?14@@.3bb5f0ec)

I Run DNG converter on Vista 64 and it works fine.
Don't think I ever 'installed' it, I just copy the executable from the zip file directly to the path I always run it from.
All you need is the one file. Adobe DNG Converter.exe
Try that.

My problem is that the newest versino (5.2) only seems to come as an EXE installable. I've put this version on my 32-bit laptop and will try just copying the EXE over and see how that works.

pgray007, which flavor of Vista do you have? (e.g. Business, Ultimate, etc.).
We just tested here with a Vista 64-bit Ultimate installation and the DNG Converter 5.2 ran and installed without a problem.

Installed and runs fine for me on Vista Enterprise and Business (both 64bit).

I'm running Vista Ultimate. Oddly, I redownloaded the file (for seemingly the 50th time) this morning and it worked like a charm. I wonder if I got some fluke copy of the file.
Thanks all for your help!
