Title: First-time user: crop tool?
Post by: mbalensiefer on December 15, 2008, 09:24:09 am
Hi!

How can I effect the same-sized crop within all my Lightroom-imported images? I have tried all I can, but can only get one image to take my crop at a time.

You need to synchronize your settings (Sync Settings button). In the dialog box, check Crop > Aspect ratio.

Yes, that will make them all of the same.  BTW, if you set up a custom crop size for one image and want to apply that to the next image (one at a time here), press the 'S' key to bring up the crop tool and it will carry over the crop dimensions from the previous image.

Another alternative is to work in AutoSync mode. In Develop, with more than one picture selected, Ctrl / Cmd click the Sync button and any adjustments including crop apply to all the images you have selected. It's the fastest way to work.
