Title: How to get rid of the auto render?!
Post by: MikeMike on December 13, 2008, 11:53:50 pm
Hey everybody,

I've just imported a set of photos I took for a friends wedding (should have said no... ) and every time I click on a photo to edit it, well it always does a quick auto render before I get started. All my settings are at default and I die a little inside when I see the before (strait from the camera) to the auto render setting. How the HELL do I get Lightroom to leave my pictures alone and let a real human decide what looks good.

Please help me out, and quick, they want the photos on Monday.

Michael

PS: Take my advice: never do a wedding unless you are making some serious coin off it.

If you're in hurry + you like the camera's default jpeg rendering+ you're new at using LR, then take my advice and use the camera manufacturer's raw converter for this job.

You can try and download the new beta camera profiles, they should give a colour rendering much closer to the camera's default but still, it's better to experiment with all this at your own pace and not when you're in a hurry to deliver a job.
