Title: LR and new Epson 3800 -- help
Post by: stever on December 13, 2008, 06:41:13 pm

i tried "managed by printer" in LR with "Epson srgb" since i don't have a clue what the a LR profile abbreviations mean - this turned out pretty bad (as i expected)

i tried Pro 38 ARMP managed by LR which looks good.  where can i find out what the LR profiles mean?

LR doesn't want to let me print borderless - what am i missing here?

ARMP = Archival Matte Paper.  SWMP = Single Weight Matte Paper.  Don't know what the LD is for.

Something I found when I got my 3800.

From the UK manual:

media name - borderless printing - icc profile
Premium Glossy Photo paper yes Pro38 PGGPP.icc
Premium luster photo paper yes Pro38 PLPP.icc
Premium semigloss photo paper yes Pro38 PSPP.icc
Epson proofing paper semimatte no Pro38 PPSmc.icc
Archival Matte Paper yes Pro38 ARMP.icc
Enhanced Matte paper yes Pro38 EMP.icc
Photo quality injet paper no Pro38 PQIJP_MK.icc
singleweigh matte paper yes Pro38 SWMP.icc
velvet fine art paper yes Pro38 VFAP.icc
Ultrasmooth fine art paper yes Pro38 USFAP.icc
Watercolor paper-rafian white yes Pro38 WCRW.icc

Some profiles are identical.  Check internal dates.

  ARMP = EMP

  PGPP = PLPP = PSPP

  SWMP = SWMP_LD
