Title: Hibernating Z3100
Post by: petermarrek on December 08, 2008, 02:45:36 pm
Unplugged my Z3100 in October (1.5 months ago) to go south for the winter. Removed ink & printheads, wrapped them in saran wrap to seal any openings and put the plugs & covers  into the heads, stored everything(except the printer at a friends place) and left. Had to come back for a job, the house had been frozen for about 2 weeks. Put everything back and it started right away. Had to reseat a few heads and cartridges and then it printed a few 24" rolls perfectly perfectly. Going back to sail south, one less worry for the rest of the winter.
