Title: BBC use RED One for the first time. Wallander TV Series.
Post by: GregW on December 06, 2008, 07:36:47 pm
Having enjoyed Henning Mankell's, Wallander novels for some time, I was excited to learn the BBC had decided to adapt the novels for an English speaking audience.

The first was was broadcast on BBC HD last week and it looked great. Now I know why. It was shot using RED One. It's claimed to be the fist BBC production to use RED.

I discovered this tonight, while watching a background documentary. Some location footage was shown with the crew using a RED One. I looked in to it a bit further and there is some additional information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallander_(TV_series) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallander_(TV_series)) and an interview with the director of photography here: http://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/news/2008/05..._interview.html (http://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/news/2008/05/anthony_dod_mantle_interview.html)
