Hello,
In the Luminous Landscape guide to Lightroom 2 Jeff Schewe says basically that Lightroom cataloges are not designed to be shared by multiple users a network. i.e.- It's not possible for a Lightroom catalog to be accessed simultaneously by different users on a network.
From my understanding, a temporary Lightroom Catalog.lrcat.lock file prevents this.
What about being able to access the same catalog by either one or the other of two separate Macs each running their Lightroom installation at separate times?
In other words, is it possible to share a single master catalog located on an external drive between two different Macs?
Thanks,
-Anthony

Yes...if the drive is moved back and forth between the Macs...no, if you connect to one Mac from another Mac via a network.

Jeff,
Thanks for the clarification.
Take care,
