Title: External Editing of Grayscale Tiffs from LR2
Post by: kingdex on December 01, 2008, 12:13:08 pm
I do most of my editing of imported grayscale tiffs in LR2. I try to do it all there and print from LR2 as well. Sometimes, however, I must refine in PSCS4. Is there any way to have the grayscale tiffs open in PS as "grayscale" files? It seems LR embeds even these grayscale tiffs with ProPhoto RGB. External editing prefs don't offer anything but color options.

It's not a big deal. Obviously I can convert once in PS. Just wondering if I'm overlooking something obvious.

regards,

There's no way to export files from Lightroom in grayscale mode; only RGB.
