Hi all,

I can create a slideshow in Lightroom (2.1) to show images on my computer, BUT is there any way to "export" the slideshow onto a CD/DVD to show it to other people?

TIA

Bob

Not sure about Lightroom, but if it can't I can recommend Pictures to Exe (http://www.wnsoft.com/apr).

Available in two versions:-
Standard edition — $49
Basic edition of PicturesToExe.

Deluxe edition — $75
This edition of PicturesToExe additionally includes VideoBuilder to easily burn slide shows on DVD-Video discs.

Upgrades are free for life and the version which is now in beta includes the ability to output HD disks as well.

Yes.

Use the web module, instead. Instead of uploading it to a web site, you just burn it onto a CD. You should be able to get the CD to autorun by adding a plain text file called autorun.inf to the root of the CD

Inside the autorun.inf file, put this:

[autorun]
open=index.html

(Assuming "index.html" is what Lightroom gives you when you export the slideshow, which I am pretty sure it does.)

You can save a Lightroom slideshow as a .pdf and then burn it on to whatever disk you want.  You can also choose the resolution you want - 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 or whatever size you want.  Clicking on the .pdf, Acrobat Reader will ask if you want to load the show full screen.  Say yes and enjoy the show.  NB:  .pdf slideshows change at a fixed rate only, no matter what you've set it to.

Mike.
