Title: Import multiple folders
Post by: chriscor on November 16, 2008, 09:28:07 pm
I have a large number of  raw files from my archive to move into lightroom2.  I've been importing them a folder at a time, copying folders to the Lightroom Library.   Is there a way to import multiple folders?  Is there anyway to simply drag the folder into lightroom?

Hi Chriscor!

If the multiple folders are contained within a folder you can import the top level folder and that should pull in all the folders in it.

You can drag and drop folders onto Lightroom but you will still get the Import dialog.

I agree with genemcc that importing upper-level folders is the way to go.

And once you have a folder in LR, if you want to add it's parent, right click and select Add Parent Folder from the contextual menu.

Once this is done, you can also use Synchronize Folder to help speed up your Imports.
