Hi all, am wondering how the D3's battery life is when tethered?
The D200's battery life was pretty short, using power even when not shooting - draining a whole battery in a couple of hours.

I usually get a couple days at least, maybe three working tethered with the D3. Its been good enough I have not felt the need to buy an AC adaptor.
Hope this helps

That's spectacular. Thanks!

Pay attention to the mode you are using: you get drastically different battery life if you chose mass storage or MTP/PTP
One of the two modes forces you to turn on/off the camera, plug cable, to download pictures, the other mode drains battery faster, but you can see on screen immediately.
AC adaptor is still very useful (murphy's law will deplete the battery at the worst moment)
