Hi Everyone
I was wondering if i could pick your collective brains. I am coming over from the UK to Detroit with work in a couple of weeks and will have a few days to myself at the end of the trip.
I'm looking for some location suggestions to visit with camera in hand. I'll have a car and I am willing to drive 3hrs+ if it's worth the trip.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Many Thanks
Andy

Andy, How about exploring the industrial southwest portion of Detroit? Our landscapes are pretty unspectacular but the old train station, parts of downtown and we can't forget the steel mills in Wyandotte are what this area is all about! That's my suggestion. Jim

Marblehead in Ohio is really nice. There is a wonderful lighthouse there and a very rocky beach on Lake Erie. Lake Erie is large enough that it looks like the Ocean. It would be around 2.5-3 hours away from Detroit but it is very nice. If you are into birds there is also a lot of great birding in nearby Sandusky Bay

Andy, That was very cool!! I used to shoot there when it was still open about the time the video was produced. If I get a minute I'll post some of the images. Thanks, Jim
