Title: Jerry N. Uelsmann
Post by: wolfnowl on August 12, 2008, 09:19:32 pm
Just came across this photographer - some amazing work in my opinion - similar in some ways but of course different from the work done by John Reuter and some of John Paul Caponigro's work.

I don't think anyone asks him, 'Have these been manipulated?" but one never knows...

Mike.

I'm not absolutely sure about his newest work, but I know for sure his older work was all done in the darkroom with a multiple enlarger setup... making the images all that more awesome because of the difficulty of manipulation...

Both him and his wife's (Maggie Taylor) work is absolutely amazing.

Agreed, love Maggie's work. Jerry's been doing this kind of work for years and years, originally analog but now, digitally of course (as does Maggie). Jerry does some TV work too (anyone recall the opening credits for the updated Outer Limits show?).

Andrew, if you like Maggie's work - check out Loretta Lux. I like her work as well.
