Title: Canon Polished Rag
Post by: nemophoto on August 06, 2008, 04:26:08 pm
Has anyone used this paper, and if so, what did you think? Is this essentially Canon's answer to papers like Museo Silver Rag and Hahn. Fine Art Pearl?

I have played with it, the finish is much like Ilford GFS. But Canon didn't make a generic profile for the iPF5000. I liked Harman Gloss or Ilford GFS better so I work with these two papers. The prices I saw on the Canon paper was more than Harman Gloss, so I crossed it off my list, this may have changed. Prints fairly well on the iPF 5000 with the GFS profile.

Thanks for the input. I suppose, since no one else has responded, few people have tried it or use it, and I'll just experiment myself. It's quite an expensive paper, compared to some out there, so I was hoping to have a little "user report".
