Title: Acratech GV2
Post by: daleeman on July 29, 2008, 06:56:55 am
Has anyone out there have good words or bad words about the Acratech GV2?

Is there one model in the Acratech line better than the other?
Will the rubber knobs wear off easy... like 30 days after warranty.
Right and or left hand in the Ultimate line up.
Will the head do well supporting a 4x5 field camera besides MF film and DSLR ???

Taking all advice even in other brands up to $ 350.00 love to spend less. The head will set on an Induro C313 set of legs already in hand.

Some more information on which cameras and lenses you want to mount on this combo would be helpful.

That said, here's a review of the GV2:

I've got both the original Ultimate Ballhead and the V2 version, and the rubber knobs are long-lasting.  I'm using Canon DSLRs and have used a variety of lenses up to 300 f/2.8.

I think left or right-handed only matters with the original UBH.
