Looking for mint copy, not as concerned about date code since most are all manufactured to the same specs.

I have seen them turn up on ebay from time to time - maybee keep an eye out there as well.

Yep for 5,000.00/6,000.00 in MINT condition!!!

I'd really recommend the 1.2 of 1.4 for a fraction of the price. The 1.0 is gorgeous, but a bit silly, really. 99% of people won't notice the difference between it and the 1.2.(plus the 1.2 is generally sharper)

It's actually not all it's cracked up to be - mostly hype, really. The 1.4 plainly works better at most things other than the extreme lowest lighting.

Is there a specific reason you want/need the 1.0?

Why not get the Canon 50MM f/ .95?
