Title: Purchase used lens in Canada, ship to US?
Post by: thompsonkirk on June 21, 2008, 11:23:36 pm
Can anyone tell me what's to be expected in terms of procedure-customs-duty-etc. when a US buyer purchases a used lens from a Canadian seller?

Thx for any info,

Kirk

I was wondering if it has to go through customs & if there's a duty to pay?

There's no duty, taxes, or other customs fees collected if the goods are shipped by mail.

UPS and FedEx will charge you duty and brokerage fees, in addition to being much more expensive than the postal service.
