hi,
i have a very strange problem with my 1DS mk III. whatever i do it will not shoot continuously more than 2 frames at a time. i tried raw and small modus, with slow cards and ultra fast CF cards... after two shots it stops for a little while and then continues. any presets i missed?
thanks for help.

If you are bracketing exposures several stops apart maybe the last one is a much slower shutter speed? That's about the only think I can think of.

no bracketing at all. fixed aperture, fixed shutter speed at e.g. 1/200.

Are any of the following enabled:?
C.FnII - 3 - highlight tone priority
C.FnII - 2 - High ISO noise reduction
Either of these will cause the camera to shoot just a few frames and then need to process.

thanks a lot! it was the high iso noise reduction!
