I'm finding that there is a bit of a gap between my 35mm and 47mm Schneider lenses for some subjects and notice that some photographers use the Hassleblad 40mm Distagon with the Hassleblad Flexbody.
The 40mm Distagon has enough of an image circle to provide some useful shift on a 645 sized chip.
It is a leaf shutter lens.
I suddenly had the idea that it should be possible to create a mount for the Cambo Wide that has a Hassleblad adapter (as one can easily purchase on Ebay) that would allow this lens to be mounted. (Or any other Hassleblad leaf shutter lens... should there be such a thing).
In fact, a more flexible approach might to be to make this adapter take a Mamiya lens fit, then simply to use a Mamiya to XXX adapter to mount whatever leaf shutter lens was available.
There are a limited number of lenses that one could fit, or might want to fit this way, but for me it would probably worthwhile just for the Hassleblad 40mm alone.
Would anyone else find this useful, or am I missing a simpler solution to getting a 40mm lens for my work. Schneider and Rodenstock don't seem to make one.

Don't forget that you'll need some kind of a box/ barrel mount to push the lens farther from the sensor ('bout 75mm I think).

Thats an interesting gadget. Intriguing.
I get a feeling that the 38 is too close to the 35... but then its impossible to try out all these things without having to buy them so its a bit of a risk getting something that *might* work and discovering you've got the wrong thing.

I have the Schneider 38, and I'm disappointed with its sharpness on digital capture, particularly when compared to the 47.
Then again it might just be my lens... anyone else have experience with it using a MFDB?

Funny thing is, I've heard good things about this from others. Not sure what to make of this. Maybe there are different ones.
I believe Alpa recommend this lens. I doubt if they would if there were resolution problems.

the digitar 35mm is pretty good
here on a TC with P45+
