Title: Spotted Towhee
Post by: Peter Wallack on April 28, 2008, 10:24:28 pm

Canon EOS 3, 100-400 IS EF L Lens with 1.4xII equals 560mm, handheld, AV fully opened to F8, evaluated metering, Provia 100 F, Exposure Modification - 1  1/3

I was able to get myself within 8 feet of this bird from my flat adobe house roof. The week before this I had tried to help this bird's sick fledgling with bird seed in one bowl and water in another bowl in a corner where the bird would probably be unnoticed. The fledgling was gone in a day or two but I think the parent remembered my good deed and allowed me to take this image.

Maybe the parent was looking to get in on some of that free food too!
