Title: Custom focus calibration
Post by: hankg on April 25, 2008, 03:44:40 pm
I understand the new Pentax K20D allows you to test for focus calibration and then set a custom focus profile for the lens tested. Combined with in camera IS this seems an incredibly useful feature to me as all the resolution you paid so much for immediately goes right out the window with any focus error or camera vibration.

Anyone know if other DSLR's have this feature?

The Eos-1Ds mk III also has this feature.

But then, for $8,000 (U.S.) it should also make you a martini and tuck you into bed.

You can shake up a very good martini using the sensor clean, though I prefer it's espresso option myself. Unfortunately it still doesn't have an 'Ansel Cartier Winogrand' button.
