I thought the Giants could win but I didn't actually believe they would.
First Santana does NOT go to Boston and now this. Woooo!
-
Watched the game, Giants did a great job of keeping pressure on Brady. I'd say that's why they pulled it off. A nail-biter right to the last second, good game.
-
The only time the Patriots looked like the Patriots was when the Giants didn't get pressure. Great game. Looked a lot like the Patriots first SB win.

A great game! The Giants run through the playoffs on the road is truly impressive, now this.
Thank gawd Tom Petty didn't suffer a wardrobe malfunction during halftime . . .

As a Pats fan I'll have to admit it was a great game, and the Giants looked more like the Pats that I'm used to than the Pats did.Hearty congratulations to Eli Manning and his whole team!

At least the Twinkies won't have to face him until the Series.. Oh wait, they'll never have to face him.

Europeans are generally uninterested in North American sports but I have to say the game was very exciting.
I've seen about 5 games live - I lived in Upstate NY for a year and used to do quite a bit of business in Indianapolis - so my opinion is based on very scant knowledge. I thought the way NY started with such a consistent period - about 10 minutes I think - of offensive pressure seemed to unsettle the Patriots, not to mention the constant sacking of Brady;)

The Giants brought their A game, the Pats did not. Moss commented that the Pats simply did not match the Giants' "intensity". The Pats will be a very different team next year. Hate to see some players wearing their uniforms the last time this way.
There are some positive notes:
- No one was shot and no cars destroyed.
- No controversy about a parade impacting Super Tuesday. (Now there is no excuse not to vote.)
- Josh McDaniels won't be leaving town soon. (Good for him.)
- Giselle won't show up any more. (Not sure if this is good )
- Belichick learned a lesson about arrogance. (Fat chance.)
- Bean Town has yet another NYC team to hate
-
Just wait until another team from that area (***cough CELTICS cough***) get taken down in the finals by the LAKERS!!!
-
I don't think the Celtics can beat the Pistons in a 7 game series.

I'm not greedy. With the Red Sox and Patriots (18 and 1 is still a pretty good record), we can afford to let the Celtics, Bruins, and even the Revolution lose a game or two.

First David Ortiz. Now KG. Enjoy Adrian Peterson and Marion Gaborik whenever they finally arrive out there.

I agree.
I don't have a problem with the way the Patriots played and it indeed looked like they were going to be the winners. There is no doubt that Brady has never had to experience so much pressure this season as the Giants continually busted through the offensive line and sacked or put pressure on him. The play of the game was the pass that Manning shouldn't have gotten off and the catch that Portis should not have caught. Without that dogged determination when it counted, it probably would have been the perfect season and new records for the Pats. A great game for even a Pats lover - the Giants won over some new fans I think.
Here's how Anne and I got to enjoy the game in the middle of no where in the central highlands of Costa Rica (http://asifweknow.com) (contrary to how it looks, it was pitch black outside):

As a Pats fan, I'm disappointed, but I hope that this will bring Tom Coughlin some of the respect he deserves. Having lived in the NY area during his tenure, it's been nauseating to witness the ridicule that this man has endured from "fans" and the media. Coughlin has always been a good coach and a stand-up guy throughout his college and pro career, and he deserves a lot better than he's gotten in NY. It seems to me that anyone who insists that his players behave like responsible adults and show a little dedication to their profession should be lauded, not portrayed as a tinhorn dictator. Guess his (suddenly invisible) detractors never heard of Vince Lombardi. Coughlin's a pussycat compared to ol' Vince. Still, it's too bad Brady was hurt. His obvious lack of mobility killed them. Oh well - ten days until spring training. Go Sox! Just my $.02 worth.
