Title: Replacing LCD protector -- no big deal
Post by: airchinapilot on January 20, 2008, 10:33:11 pm
Not sure if this is old hat for you pros but I just went through the process of replacing the scratched up back of the LCD on my 30D in ten minutes. No sweat.

1) Order parts from Canon
2) Use a suction cup to suction out the LCD protector
3) Take out the old two-sided tape, replace it
4) Press in the new LCD protector.

Easy as pie. No need for a tech to do it.

I've blogged a short tutorial with pics on my blog:

No warranties, but it should be as simple for you as it was for me.
