I have two of these lenses (this was the backup) but will sell one to raise some cash. The lens is in excellent+ condition and comes with front and rear caps and the optional hood (a $200 extra). Serial number is 14794128. Lens works with several Rollei 6000 series cameras, and the new Hy6/AFi as well.
The only one which I can find on ebay which has sold recently went for $3000, and is essentially identical to mine:

To avoid ebay I would be happy to take $2900 (plus shipping & insurance). Payment by bank transfer only.
Photos of the lens can be supplied on request.

I guess Christmas/NY is a bad time of year. Hopefully the bank accounts will recover soon

This is one of the must-have lenses in the line up, as it's the best of the 40mm lenses, and the widest currently available.

I have one of these and can confirm this is one impressive lens. Quite sharp with high contrast, natural color, and quite compact. If you have a hy6 or AFi on order you will want this lens.

Thanks, Eric.

Try lowering your price to reasonable levels and it might sell. The market value of your lens - 1 just sold on E-Bay, is about $1845.
Good Luck, it is a great lens!

In Graham's defense..... Ive seen the lens sell for over $3000.
$2900 from a trusted photographer isn't that bad of a deal.
I sold my distagon (40mm) for $2400 a few months back, and the angulon tends to be a bit more popular.

Well I did set my price at the level of several completed ebay auctions. I've never seen one sell for anything near that price.
If one auction closed at an abnormally low price that might be because the seller had no feedback or some other anomoly.
I am including the optional hood too, which is unusual and costs $245 new.

you really can't price a lens on one abnormally low ebay sale...if you do use ebay to judge you have to, as graham has done, balance it out over a few normal sales.
I once bought a hasselblad v series 50mm CFi FLE lens for about £500 on ebay!...a bargain of course but that does not mean all should be at that price ( if I remember it had no reserve and a spelling mistake in the listing hence few bidders)

I stand by my statement. It hasn't sold in almost 4 months at that price. One thing i learned over years of e-bay selling (seller name "viswan"), is that the market determines the price, not our beliefs or ideas.
and good luck, you never know.. I just sold a phase 1 P45+ back for 20k, the owner thought it was worth 25, but one just sold recently for 10k. so the market can be erratic.

I got the opportunity to test this lens out recently and it is a very sharp lens both at close up and infinity. In addition, the lens is extremely compact and great for traveling.
