Title: Capture Sharpen Q?:
Post by: kingdex on November 10, 2007, 06:29:59 pm
If one does basic sharpening in LR using the newly re-engineered sharpening algorithms, does this preclude the necessity to use PhotoKit's capture sharpener? I'm assuming I could do basic sharpening in LR and then use PhotoKit for output only. Is this correct?

Do capture sharpening in LR or using PhotoKit, not both.

In another thread (was it this Forum? I forget.) I asked Jeff about the merits of capture sharpening in CR 4.1 versus PK Capture Sharpen Pro. He said he thinks they can produce about the same result but PK is somewhat easier to use (hope I am interpreting him correctly). Of course going that route means a trip forth and back between LR and PS.
