I'm downloading the z3100 Firmware and Driver updates now.
I see it asks for one's OS at the HP Downloads page in the dropdown menu - we have XP and Vista 32bit and another selection for XP and Vista 64bit.
The Firmware should be the same regardless, no?
I ask because I dual-boot XP Pro 32bit and Vista Ultimate 64bit and want to make sure I will be able to print from both.
Thanks

Yes the firmware is agnostic to op sys. The actual running operating system on the printer is Unix. HP does a lot of compatibility QA for all driver compiles, so it's not something I would think would be to worry about. I'm not saying the drivers are flawless , just that they are designed to be compatible with the firmware.
