Title: Aperture vrs. Lightroom
Post by: Goodlistener on October 07, 2007, 07:41:59 pm
I'm posting th is in both forums, but here goes:

An observation, wonder if I can get your reaction?

The big difference to me between Light room and Aperture is the ability to do slide shows and integrate with multi-media and iLife.  Each program has some strengths, some lesser capabilities in different areas, but the really BIG difference is in slide shows and multi-media.  Different people may place different values on that difference, but I wonder: What are your views about this?

Thanks

I find the biggest difference to be that one doesn't run on windows.

That's kind of ironic, isn't it? Usually the OS with a wider following would give you a wider choice of apps to run. Tight integration with slide shows is a big issue for me, but i want to understand better how the 2 mmajor pograms cpmpare for color and tone adjustments.

You can always download evaluation versions of each and test it out.

Shouldn't be THAT hard to find out which you prefer for color and tone adjustments... given that's a rather small area of either program.
