Title: epson 2400, how to clean paper roller
Post by: a_krause on October 04, 2007, 07:37:13 pm
i havent touched my printer for a few months, but am printing up some new promos and am running into some problems printing with moab entrada paper. I use the rear loader as its a thicker paper and i have a feeling there is dust on the paper feeder, which in result wont pick up the paper which results in a very unproductive day for the author of this post... [if i actually try to load the paper, maybe 1 out of ever 30 attempts the paper will load, but i would prefer a 1:1 ratio]

i think its dust on the roller/feeder bc #1, my apt is semi dust, #2 i havent touched the printer in like 2 months. #3, i know the Moab entrada paper sheds and can leave particles inside the printer.

so far i have tried using compressed air in the printer with no luck. I saw that epson sells "Epson Ink Jet Cleaning Sheets" but they dont have them at B&H or any other photo store here in NYC so i am scratching that idea. any other methods that I should try?

thanks

Epson supplies cleaning sheets with the printers for cleaning the rollers. To be honest, I've never used them, but I have stacks of them.
