Title: Content-Aware Image Resizing

I stumbled upon this pdf (http://www.faculty.idc.ac.il/arik/imret.pdf) of a novel approach to image resizing (the paper might be unavailable at the moment, google for "seam carving for content-aware image resizing"). And when I say novel, I mean novel. Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIFCV2spKtg) an excellent video demonstrating its capabilities and application.
