Title: DPP tutorials
Post by: Goodlistener on August 27, 2007, 01:28:26 pm
There are so many books and artcles about how to use Adobe products. Does anybody know of good books or tutorials about how to use Canon Digital Photo Professional (DPP)?

I like software that is free, but it don't like me.....

The Canon Digital Learning Center has some short videos on DPP -- unfortunately these are all based on DPP 2.2.  Still, some pretty good information and it helps to see how it is intended to work, not how you might think it should work...

These are very good tutorials really and they do give a good explanation of using DPP from a workflow perspective and how to use each control.

You need to understand how to use points on curves though to get the best out of DPP IMO.

The Canon website tutorials are the ONLY resource I know of. They are essential viewing and very helpful.

Make sure you also watch the tutorials on the 'workflow' tab as they will also be of benfit - they'll mention the powerful Luminance graph in the RGB tab.
