Title: Ultra Wide on Mamiya 645 system
Post by: Anders_HK on August 24, 2007, 03:07:20 am
Ok, I have the ZD camera and 24mm fisheye, what of wider??? I am in thoughts of WA adapter   . This looks FUN    ...

Using Cavision
0.6x 77mm F.T. - http://www.cavision.com/optics/industrial/PWA06X77.htm (http://www.cavision.com/optics/industrial/PWA06X77.htm) wt= 171g
0.5x 77mm F.T. - http://www.cavision.com/optics/industrial/PWA05X77.htm (http://www.cavision.com/optics/industrial/PWA05X77.htm) wt= 450g

on my

Mamiya 35mm, in 135 equivalence 25mm, gives
         w/0.6x 15.1mm
         w/0.5x 12.6mm

Pentax 33-55, in 135 equivalences 24-40mm, gives
        w/0.6x 14.3-23.8mm
        w/0.5x 11.9-19.8mm

Ok, for the Pentax I am still working on getting adapter or modification made for it to fit my ZD. The Pentax has 82mm F.T., not 77mm like the adapters from Cavision, but due to the 1.17 crop of the ZD, there should assumably not be a problem using a 82mm->77mm step ring.

Any experience? Comments/recommendations? What would I get? Any better adapters than Cavisions?

Regards
Anders

I think you are going to run into problems of vingetting on the lens barrel. Beyond the fisheye it will start to look backwards, and catch on the threaded parts of the barrel or petals for the fish.
