I'm trying to get a white border around 100s of pictures (portrait/landscape orient. mixed) and would like to put it in an action with the following steps:
- reducing image size
- changing canvas size (white border)
- putting the file name on the bottom right hand corner aligend with the picture(optional)
- saving to a dedicated folder.
In short it's kind of contact sheet II in PS but for the saving stage.
Or like a simple action but for the text and the orientation.....
Any help appreciated!

look up Russell Brown the Mad professor, he has an excellent tool for just this, and it will also provide you with details on the front with file name and I think a few other things.
I hope this helps

Try Action Central. Lots of free stuff.

and to build your own by Sean Duggan.

Im not too great on PS actions
but I think you will rin into a problem of 'IF'
ie finding the difference between a LS and a PORT image
also applyin the text (there are workarounds for this)
anyway
if you can do ASP scripting or someone else (possibly me) can then
www.chestysoft.com 'csImageFile' can do all of this
It may sound like a soft p*rn site but it is actually the site of a great software bloke Simon Chester !
(buy his stuff - Im not connected but he has offered me good support on his apps)

Many thanks! I will give it a try later on today!
Unfortunatley I lost all of my bridge - tools - photoshop scripts while fiddeling around. Does anybody know how to get them back (I've got CS3 running on a second machine)?
