Title: Which tripod for Nodal-point-adapter?

Hello,
i would like to buy the Novoflex VR-System for taking Nodalpoint oriented panorama pictures.
What kind of tripod shall i bye for the VR-system, my EOS 5D and for a 100-400 Zoomlens?

Should it be an wood, carbon, aluminium or a basalt tripod?
Should it be with a center pillar?
Should it have a 2x or 3x height adjustment?

I'm looking forward for your tips?
