Title: Super 8
Post by: roadkillwill5890 on July 03, 2007, 10:11:16 pm
Ive recently been given a project to shoot a 7 minute short film on Super 8mm. One of the things i want to do with it is give it a 35mm proffesional look but still keep it old and rustick like Super 8 home movies. It will have sound recorded seperatly and distorted to give it an old sound. It will be shot in Colour using Ektachrome 125asa film due to expenses and my camera being one of the ones limited to 160asa. 35mm has a soft yellow tinge to it but aparently if you put a blue filter on the super 8 camera it gives a much better look. Is this true?? and has anyone had any experience with Super 8 shooting?  Also my camera is a Sankyo ES-44XL with a 34mm f8.5 lens. Can you get blue filters for this and would a gloss filter fit well?

Thanks,
Will
