Title: CS3 upgrade won't ask for serial #

I'm upgrading my Photoshop CS to CS3. In the process of upgrading, the installer doesn't require me to punch in the serial number. Is this normal? Every other program I've ever purchased requires the serial number to be entered during installation. Is the CS3 upgrade any different?

I never had to enter mine either.  I think Adobe's installer automatically finds your old number, since they certainly don't overlook any opportunity to lock out anybody trying to pirate Photoshop.
