Hi everyone !
Monitor and printer are both calibrated and profiled, but I noticed the prints being darker than the softproof. This is mainly in low ambient light, when viewed in bright sunlight everything's there.
Now what parameter(s) do I tweak to compensate for low ambient light ? Brightness ?
TIA
Peter

I've had the same experience. Galleries deal with this by spot-lighting images with daylight color balanced illumination (Solux etc.) and all is well. If you find your prints lose perceived shadow detail in more casual lighting, the easiest fix is to apply a curves adjustment layer to lighten the shadows and 3/4 tones, adjusting to taste. Once you find a curve that works you can save it and apply it to each image just before printing, though sometimes image content requires fine-tuning.

The luminance (in cd/m2) should be based on the ambient light under which you view your prints. Do you have a viewing booth with dimmer? That's usually key.
